Nothing Phone 1 to Get Vidhance Video Stabilisation, Announces Partnership With Imint
Imint has officially announced its collaboration with Nothing, marking a strategic partnership between the video software company based in Uppsala, Sweden, and the innovative tech brand. Imint is renowned for its video enhancement software called Vidhance, widely utilized by various smartphone manufacturers to achieve professional video quality from the compact camera hardware embedded in phones. This collaboration is not the first of its kind for Imint, which has previously collaborated with smartphone giants like Asus, Xiaomi, and Motorola.
Nothing Phone 1 users can anticipate an enhancement in video quality through Imint’s Vidhance. The Nothing Phone 1, already available in stores and online in India, incorporates Imint’s latest Vidhance Video Stabilization Generation 4 solution, promising users a more stable and superior video experience.
Imint’s Vidhance software is specifically tailored to work with the Sony IMX766 sensor in the primary camera of the Nothing Phone 1, which features optical image stabilization (OIS). The solution dynamically cancels unnecessary shake or movement, frame by frame, resulting in video recordings that are clearer, sharper, and free of jitter.
According to Imint, Vidhance also offers advanced look-ahead processing during video recording, enabling better anticipation of user motion and optimizing memory usage for the task at hand. The integration of Vidhance into the Nothing Phone 1 is not explicitly mentioned, and it remains uncertain whether it will be included in a future update. Despite the recent version 1.1.6 update for the Nothing Phone 1, there is no mention of improved video stabilization.
The Nothing Phone 1, launched in India in July 2022, boasts a distinctive design with a transparent rear panel showcasing some of its internal hardware. Notably, the phone features a unique LED lighting system, known as the Glyph interface, for notification alerts. Hardware-wise, it is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC, dual 50-megapixel rear cameras, a 4,500mAh battery, and holds an official IP53 rating with wireless charging support.
